Trevor Ashley

Trevor Ashley is one of Australia’s most sought-after and successful performers. He has built a career and following as an actor, writer, and international queen of cabaret.

His creativity is unstoppable, his wit razor-sharp and his wardrobe is bursting at the seams.

He recently sold out the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall with his acclaimed show “Diamonds Are For Trevor” and in musical theatre, Trevor was an original cast member of Priscilla Queen of the Desert - the Musical, creating the role of Miss Understanding, and playing it over 600 times.

He also starred as the villainous Thenardier in Cameron Mackintosh’s exceptional new production of Les Miserables at the Capitol Theatre for which he was nominated for a Helpmann Award. Previously, Trevor played the role of Edna Turnblad in David Atkins’ acclaimed production of Hairspray in both Sydney and Melbourne.

He won the hearts of both audiences and critics alike, earning him a Sydney Theatre Award nomination as Best Actor in a Musical.

Trevor now brings his exceptional talents, with a suitcase full of fabulous frocks all the way to Broken Hill for our Festival. His performance set will showcase just why he is a true Queen Of The Desert.

Accompanying Trevor is our late night dance party “GLITTERBOMB” DJ’d by the internationally renowned Kitty Glitter. Saturday night at the Festival is going to go off with a glittering BANG!
